About Us
My family and I have been visiting India annually ever since I was a child. In each visit, we make it our mission to give back to the community in a meaningful way. During one of our trips, we visited an ashram in Vadodara that houses boys of all ages with developmental disabilities and who lack parental care and family support. Whenever we visit India, we visit the HMDC Children Home and bring along as much food and necessary supplies as possible. Naiyasa Fashion has set the goal throughout the year to be able to contribute by covering the cost of meds and food during special occasions and holidays.
Given my academic background in Psychology and Disability and Human Development, I've always felt a deep connection with these boys and was compelled to do more for them. That's where the idea for Naiyasa emerged - an opportunity not only to give back but also to offer unique ethnic wear at more affordable prices. We often find ourselves purchasing ethnic clothing at exorbitant prices, only to wear them a couple of times. I saw this as an opportunity to make a difference and contribute positively to our community.
For every item sold through Naiyasa, a meal will be provided to a child at the ashram. This meal will be comforting, fulfilling, and of higher quality than their usual fare. I aim to cover the costs of meals during significant occasions such as Diwali, Navratri, birthdays, and beyond. I also aspire to support them with medical supplies and medications. While I may not be able to do everything alone, I am excited to have created a brand like Naiyasa that allows me to garner the necessary support to make a meaningful impact.
